Although today’s a great

Although today’s a great rainy knitting day, I probably won’t get the chance. I have to clean up around here a bit, and then I meet some friends to head to Costco for a day of shopping for bulk. Wait, I have enough bulk, but you know what I mean. I’ll just hate bringing back cases of stuff in the rain. Ick.

Speaking of bulk, I’m up 3 lbs. I guess the diet of apple cider donuts and Ben and Jerry’s wasn’t such a good idea.

Tonight I play mah jongg. Such fun.

Ty was attacked again,

Ty was attacked again, by I think the same dog (I hope, I’d hate to think there’s more than one out for him) and I feel partially responsible for not noticing she was there and subjecting him to that. She jumped him before we even in the fence. Her walker, a woman named Stacy that I’m very friendly with and who loves Ty was very shaken, said that Jesse got into another fight this week, and she’s going to talk to her owner. She also said this will never happen again and she’ll avoid the run if Ty and I are there. Now her owner David just has to do the same. But I’m so upset for Ty, who gets scared enough and doesn’t romp and play all that much.

Somehow I screwed up

Somehow I screwed up some stitches on my alpaca scarf and now I have a mess. Oh well, I’ll figure it out and fix it but for now I may go back to the sweater. Still, it’s nice to have a simple small project that doesn’t need instructions. I’m sick of reading charts all the time.

OK, I’m a freak and put up a little website for my dog, Ty. It’s just kind of thrown together, but I’ll work on it some more. I obviously need more of a life.

Well, I did make

Well, I did make it to SnB last night, and boy, was it mobbed. I barely had room to squeeze in the circle and we actually had to spread out to the other couch area. It was nice to see a lot of new faces although I really didn’t get to talk to many people. I also didn’t stay late this time. I went home and hung out with the pooch.

I finally settled on a pattern for the Alpaca scarf I’m starting, though I’m still not fully convinced you can really see the pattern with all the fuzziness. This stuff sure does shed, too. Anyway, it’s a variation on the Guernsey pattern I did for that dress, with double cabled edges and a chevron lace pattern in the center. The lace part looks good, but the cables are pretty hard to make out. Oh well, I’m going to continue with it anyway.

I’m leaving my newspaper gig in 10 minutes and I’m going to go hang with the dog some more. I’ve got a case of the guilts going on.
