Looks like more girly

Looks like more girly knitting in my immediate future. My niece just had her second girl, about 15 minutes ago!

I haven’t been knitting

I haven’t been knitting at all, and thusly, haven’t been posting either. Family visits and work have kept me busy this week. I also must work this weekend, so there isn’t much down time, even though all it seems like I do is sit in this computer chair.

Wed. night I saw my family, some of whom I haven’t seen in a long time. My nephew and his wife are visiting with their now 1 1/2 year son, whom I haven’t seen in a year. I wish I had time to knit that kid a sweater, he’s a cutie. Also, my niece is due this Sunday with her second. My grand niece Chani was the recipient of that Guernsey dress, and I’m told she loves wearing it, although by the time we got there she was in her pajamas. I’m hoping for a picture of her in it soon.

I’ve been sort of lax about my exercise routine lately but my “dieting” has been extremely successful. All my winter weight, gone, and I’m even seeing numbers on the scale that I haven’t seen since oh, maybe 10 years ago. If I only had the time and energy to really work out hard, I’d be in terrific shape for summer. Wait, summer? It’s freezing outside. But anyway, today I feel like some congestion is coming on and it’s probably SARS so why even bother exercising?

Well, I’ll do my best to get motivated for today but for now, I need to work on my end of semester assignment. Sigh. I’m really sick of sitting at this computer.

My life is basically

My life is basically freelance work right now. I haven’t knit. I haven’t been to the gym in 2 weeks. My dog hates me because I haven’t budged from this computer in days. I am staring at endless pages of HTML and going blind. I haven’t done any homework for class tonight. At least I’m earning money. I’ll see you all soon, when I’m out from under this load.

Dear Mother Nature, I

Dear Mother Nature,

I have had enough winter, thank you. Please alert the authorities, it’s now Spring. If I wanted to live in Siberia, I would. Thanks for understanding.

Yours, Jackie

I have done absolutely nothing in terms of knitting since last week. Friday I had a low key day/night at home but a headache kept me from doing anything that required any concentration. It was a rare day of laying like a lump. Saturday I embarked on an entire day of Spring Cleaning (oh excuse me, I mean Winter Cleaning. How dare I think it might be spring time?) and my apartment is now delightfully neat and clean. We’ll see how long that lasts. I have also decided to retile my bathroom floor, so next chance I get to go to Home Depot, I will be picking out tiles. I would love to do my kitchen as well but that get’s far too complicated what with the large appliances. I don’t think I can even get my refrigerator through my kitchen doors, so I think I’m stuck with what’s there.

Saturday night I went to Loser’s Lounge with friends, which for the last 8+ years has been one of my “reasons for living” as my friends and I like to say. I know several people in the show as well so that makes it even more fun. No matter what the show is, it’s always a great time. This time was The Mamas and the Papas, and the show absolutely rocked. So much we are going back next weekend. My date, who had never been, just loved it.

The rest of the week should be busy with freelance assignments (I am crossing my fingers that another one comes through in addition to what I am already working on) so hopefully I’ll have a little time for knitting too, but lately, who knows.
