I was in such a crappy mood this morning. Work is overwhelming - I just got hired for a new project and this should be good news but I have so much going on already and another client keeps piling it on so it’s hard to get to the other (bigger, better paying) projects. I had to rip out a good portion of one of Lisette’s front panels last night because I did the armhole too low. Basically, it’s been stress city around here.
Then I tossed work aside to go meet my drafty table ladies. And they always put a smile on my face no matter how bleak things are. And Iris gave me some chocolate from Moscow, and you know what chocolate can do for one’s mood.
Then I get home and there are 2 packages for me. OH JOY! Look what Jenn sent me for guessing her hair color!!
That yarn is the yummiest superwash wool from Mountain Colors. The colorway is *gorgeous* and it’s so soft. Jenn said it would make great socks, and I do believe she is right. Then some hand care from Burt’s Bees (and boy, I need it) and…chocolate! Thank you Jenn, what a great gift to come home to.
In the same delivery came my Knitpicks merino for a baby blanket for a friend. This stuff will make a very warm blanket for her boy, due in July. So I have time on that. He won’t need a blanket till Fall anyway. I hope she won’t mind the handwashing. She requested blue so blue she’s getting, but I’m not much of a pastel baby blue kind of person (at least for babies, I actually like it on me) so I think these colors work well together and will make a nice bright and happy carriage blanket.
So, this post is getting long and I won’t go into a big review of Spamalot but all I can say is if you’re in NY, hurry and get tickets before it’s impossible. The show is SO GOOD, I’m still singing the songs in my head, and I want to see it again and again. The cast is superb. It didn’t hurt that I sat 7th row dead center in house seats. But it’s a small theatre so there isn’t a bad seat, really.
And it’s mostly back to work, for me. Sigh.

Mmmm… dark chocolate Hershey’s kisses. I must share them with everyone!
Hope you like the yarn, isn’t it lovely!?
I may have to come back to NY for a weekend just to see Spam-a-lot. It’s killing me that I can’t be there.
