Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. I had a really nice weekend. But, I put too much faith in the weather folks and believed them when they said rain on Sunday. Since it didn’t rain, and was sunny and scorching hot but I had already decided not to head out to the beach, I had plenty of time and air conditioning to finish Ene’s Shawl.

Since I don’t have a blocking board and all floor is taken up by dog, I just rinsed her and hung her from the shower. Let me tell you, wet Alpaca Cloud smells like a wet alpaca. Indeed.
But I think all that work has paid off. Isn’t she pretty??
Pattern: Ene’s Shawl from Scarf Style
Yarn: Alpaca Cloud from Knitpicks in Moss, doubled (4 skeins)
Needles: Addi Turbos size 6

It looks great. I just finished mine yesterday too. I need to block it tonight. Ours are matching colors. 🙂

Stunning! I too am making Ene in dark green!

It looks fabulous!

Beautiful! Can you tell me how much yardage this sweet little number required? I just ordered some lace weight from and I’m wondering if there’s enough of it for a smallish Ene’s with doubling.

Oh, Jackie, it’s just incredible.

i love the shawl! lovely pattern and color combination 🙂 oh, and happy belated birthday!

C’est magnifique!

A beautiful shawl on a beautiful birthday girl!!!

Just stunning, Jackie~!

Happy Birthday to YOU!

It’s beautiful! And yeah, I knit a balaclava in alpaca for my daughter, who informed me that when you breathe into an alpaca balaclava at 40 below zero and the part where you breathe gets wet, it’s “extremely stinky and in fact smells like a dog.” She’s six. Geesh. If you have to be eloquent about something at six, I guess it oughta be the wool your mum chooses for your hats…

Belated Happy Birthday and lovely shawl. Cute dog too. 🙂

A belated happy birthday! And congrats on finishing such a marvelous project! It’s beautiful!

Hurray!! She’s done! Looks fabulous, too.

Gorgeous! And it looks amazing with that skirt. Too cute.

Beautiful, Jackie! A great colour for you, too.

Oh, it’s absolutely beautiful! And happy birthday!

Stunning, love.
