Time has run away once again. You’re probably wondering how I fared in the team FO Olympics. Or maybe not, but I’ll tell you anyway. I didn’t win the gold but I think I deserve a silver. I finished two out of the three projects I challenged myself to finish. I actually finished the third (Tubey) as well, but not in time, and since I haven’t done the photo shoot yet, not in this post.

But since my gift was (finally!) given – I can post the second FO, my baby blanket.

Pattern: Shawl from Debbie Bliss Special Knits
Yarn: Knitpicks Shine in violet

Here’s a close-up.

The recipient seemed to enjoy it.

And since I’m done with Tubey – and determined to keep finishing, I picked up Lisette’s lace border after a long hiatus.

But I also needed a small portable easy project, so more socks. Photos of that tomorrow.

Your baby blanket turned out beautifully! I love that you chose a non-traditional baby color. Shine looks like a good choice for baby things… how did you like working with it?

cant wait to see you in Tubey! 🙂 or Lisette…
Maybe I can use you as finishing inspiration or pressure 🙂

I can’t wait to see Tubey! The colors were fantastic. The baby blanket is beautiful as well. Purple is my favorite color. Good luck with your finishing spree.

I LOVE it! And so will Ivana once she knows what a blankie is.

What a lovely stitch pattern in that color. Who *wouldn’t* have loved it?

I just live the idea of I. in that beautiful blanket. Nothing wishy-washy for her, no ma’am.

Well done, Jackie.

The baby blanket is wonderful!!! Love the color!
KnitPicks —wonderful!

The blanket is so pretty! I can’t wait to see the finished Tubey.

The blanket looks great–I love the simple all-over pattern.

Sheesh, I saw it yesterday and didn’t admire it aloud so I didn’t hear that you’d made it until now. Its gorgeous.
